Tegernsee Construction Days 2025 on 15 and 16 May 2025 in Rottach-Egern
Dr Irmscher will be giving a 75-minute presentation on the topic at this year's Tegernsee Construction Days:
‘EAR 23 - current regulations for the planning, construction and assessment of car parks -
Background and application of EAR 23 in the area of conflict with the RBSV, the M-GarVO and the ERA’
Car parks and underground car parks are often only structured with rectangular driveways and parking spaces with minimum dimensions, which often results in deficiencies. However, the movement of vehicles, which is necessary for usage reasons, requires degrees of freedom in all relevant directions, for which it is essential to maintain room for manoeuvre and safety distances. At the same time, the sizes and masses of cars are changing significantly. The amendment to the EAR - Recommendations for Parking Facilities EAR 23, the application of which is the subject of this article, contains the updated dimensions and methods for the qualified planning and expert assessment of parking structures of all kinds.
The conference with the subtitle ‘Blind spots in building practice’ is aimed at architects, engineers, building experts, building lawyers/authorities, housing associations, construction companies/carriers
